COURSE CURRICULUM

The Specialization in Computer Science requires students to complete 120 credits, including 54 credits specific to the specialization, with a minimum average of 60% in these courses. Core courses include Introduction to Computer Science, Programming in C++, Digital Systems, Data Structures I, Machine Structures I, Operating Systems I, Object-Oriented Programming, Programming Paradigms, Databases and Data Management, and Distributed Systems. Students must also complete 9 credits from a range of Computer Science options such as Engineering Graphics, Data Structures II, Artificial Neural Networks, Game Design and Development, Artificial Intelligence, Robotics, Human-Computer Interaction, Theory of Computation, Computer Graphics, 3D Computer Graphics, Advanced Game Design and Development, Project Management, and Senior Practicum. Additionally, 15 credits of mathematics courses are required, including Calculus I and II, Introductory and Advanced Linear Algebra, and Discrete Mathematics I. Science requirements consist of 12 credits chosen from courses like Molecular and Cell Biology, Organismal and Evolutionary Biology, General Chemistry I and II, and General Physics I and II. Breadth requirements include ACAD 1601, Humanities, Social Science or Professional Studies, and 42 credits of electives.
