COURSE CURRICULUM

The Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) program at Nipissing University with an International Business Concentration offers students a comprehensive education combining core business principles with a global perspective. In addition to fulfilling the standard BBA requirements—covering foundational courses in accounting, economics, marketing, organizational behaviour, finance, law, ethics, statistics, operations, and strategy—students must complete 18 credits specific to international business. These include key courses such as ADMN 2706 Introduction to Intercultural Management, ADMN 4206 International Business, and MKTG 3417 International Marketing. Students then select nine credits from a diverse range of international-focused options, including practical iLEAD projects like International Study Exchange, Special Projects, Academic Internships, and Field-Based Consulting Projects. Elective choices also encompass ECON 3127 International Financial Management, ECON 3226 International Economics, courses on global social movements and human rights, and political science classes focused on international relations and negotiations. This program is designed to equip students with the knowledge and skills necessary to succeed in the global marketplace, preparing them for careers in multinational corporations, government agencies, or international organizations. Alongside 6 credits in humanities, science, or social science, 6 business electives, and 45 general electives, this concentration fosters critical thinking, cultural awareness, and strategic decision-making skills essential for effective leadership in a globalized economy.
