COURSE CURRICULUM

The Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) program at Nipissing University includes a comprehensive curriculum designed to provide students with a solid foundation in key business disciplines while developing critical thinking, analytical, and communication skills. Core courses include business communication, digital management, financial and management accounting, business mathematics, microeconomics, macroeconomics, marketing, organizational behavior, business decision-making, ethics, commercial law, business statistics, research in management, change management, operations management, financial management, information systems, and a two-part capstone in business strategy and policy. Students are also required to complete six additional credits from business-related areas (ACCT, ADMN, ECON, FINC, MKTG, ORGS, TMGT), along with six credits in humanities, science, or social science, and 45 credits in electives, allowing for both breadth and specialization. Those pursuing an Accounting Concentration must complete an additional 18 credits, including Intermediate Accounting I and II, Management Accounting and Control II, and nine credits chosen from advanced accounting topics such as personal and corporate taxation, auditing, advanced accounting, and cost accounting. This structure ensures that students not only gain theoretical knowledge but also acquire practical skills and specialized expertise, preparing them for professional roles or further studies such as CPA certification or graduate business programs.
