COURSE CURRICULUM

The program requires students to complete 120 credits, including 54 credits in the Mathematics Specialization. The curriculum begins with 27 credits of Core Mathematics courses, followed by one of three streams: Pure Mathematics, Applied Mathematics, or General Mathematics. The Pure Mathematics Stream includes Introduction to Computer Science, Geometry, Number Theory, Real Analysis I and II, Algebra I, and 9 credits selected from Groups I, II, or III. The Applied Mathematics Stream includes Introduction to Computer Science, Combinatorics and Graph Theory, Algebra I, Differential Equations I, Probability & Statistics II, and 12 credits from the approved groups. The General Stream combines courses from both areas, including Introduction to Computer Science, Combinatorics and Graph Theory, Real Analysis I, Algebra I, Differential Equations I, and additional courses from Groups I, II, and III. Beyond the Mathematics specialization, students must complete breadth requirements consisting of ACAD 1601 (3 credits), 3 credits in Humanities, and 6 credits in Social Science and/or Professional Studies. The remaining 54 credits are available as electives, allowing students to explore additional subjects or support their academic and career interests. Overall, the degree provides a strong foundation in mathematics while allowing students to specialize in pure, applied, or general mathematics and customize part of their studies through breadth courses and electives.
