COURSE CURRICULUM

The Bachelor of Business Administration with a Major in Nonprofit Leadership at Mount Saint Vincent University equips students with the knowledge and skills necessary to assume senior leadership roles within the nonprofit sector, preparing graduates to manage organizations that drive social impact and community development. This major can be combined with one or more additional majors in accounting, management, marketing, or strategic human resource management, or with concentrations in accounting, economics, management, marketing, strategic human resource management, or tourism and hospitality management, providing flexibility to tailor the degree to specific career goals. Students may also complete one or more minors in fields such as accounting, finance, management, marketing, strategic human resource management, or tourism and hospitality management, requiring the completion of 3.0 units with a minimum GPA of 2.0. To earn the degree, students must successfully complete 20.0 units, or 23.0 units if enrolled in the co-operative education option, including required courses in business, economics, mathematics, and nonprofit leadership, along with electives in business, arts, and sciences. The program emphasizes critical thinking, organizational management, strategic planning, and ethical leadership, while providing flexibility for professional electives, humanities courses, and free electives, ensuring students graduate with a well-rounded education and the practical skills necessary to lead and innovate in the nonprofit sector.
