COURSE CURRICULUM

The Bachelor of Commerce (BComm) in Aviation at Mount Allison University, offered in partnership with MFC Training, combines professional flight training with a strong foundation in business studies, preparing students for careers that intersect aviation and management. The program allows students to gain expertise in key areas of commerce, including accounting, finance, marketing, and management, while simultaneously completing rigorous flight training. The BComm degree requires a total of 120 credits, divided into three main components. Students complete 66 credits in commerce core courses and electives, providing a comprehensive understanding of business principles and management practices. An additional 18 credits are devoted to distribution requirements in arts and letters and humanities, complemented by courses in geography and environmental studies, ensuring a well-rounded academic background. Flight training accounts for 36 credits, conducted through MFC Training, and equips students with hands-on experience in aviation, including navigation, airplane instruments, aviation regulations, weather, and over 200 hours of flight time along with extensive ground instruction. Graduates earn a recognized undergraduate degree alongside professional aviation qualifications, such as a Commercial Pilot Licence, a multi-engine class rating, and a Group 1 instrument rating, preparing them for careers in commercial aviation, airline management, or further professional and academic pursuits.
