COURSE CURRICULUM

The Bachelor of Arts Honours in Mathematics at Mount Allison University is a rigorous 72-credit program designed for students seeking advanced mathematical knowledge and research experience. It begins with foundational courses such as MATH 1111 or 1151, followed by key intermediate courses like MATH 1121, 2111, 2121, 2211, and 2221, ensuring a strong grounding in calculus, linear algebra, and differential equations. Students also complete 6 credits in computer science (COMP 1631 and 1731) to enhance computational proficiency. Advanced mathematical study includes MATH 3111, 3211, 3311, and 3411, complemented by 6 credits from higher-level courses such as MATH 4011, 4111, 4121, 4221, 4311, 4951, or 4991, offering depth in theoretical and applied mathematics. Fifteen additional credits are taken at the 3000 or 4000 level, allowing students to tailor their studies to specialized interests.
