COURSE CURRICULUM

Information Technology program, students build a strong foundation in both technical skills and professional communication. During the fall semester, courses focus on essential topics such as Professional Communications I, which helps students develop effective written and verbal communication skills crucial for IT professionals. A+ Computer Technology I introduces the basics of computer hardware and software, while Applied Mathematics equips students with the quantitative skills necessary for problem-solving in IT contexts. Programming Fundamentals I lays the groundwork for coding skills, and Application Software familiarizes students with common productivity tools used in various business environments. Moving into the winter semester, students deepen their understanding of computer technology with A+ Computer Technology II, covering more advanced hardware and software concepts. Programming Fundamentals II builds on the coding skills learned earlier, preparing students for more complex programming tasks. IT Systems Support introduces students to troubleshooting and maintaining IT systems, a vital role in any IT environment. Networking Fundamentals teaches the principles of computer networks, including configuration and management, which are essential for supporting connected systems. Finally, Web Development I introduces the basics of creating and managing websites, an increasingly important skill in today’s digital landscape.
