COURSE CURRICULUM

The Business Management diploma requires students to complete a total of 60 credits, equivalent to 20 courses, providing a comprehensive foundation in business principles while allowing flexibility for electives and specialization. Core courses include introductory and advanced accounting (ACCT 212, ACCT 222), finance (FNCE 201), microeconomics (ECON 101), business law (LEGL 210), marketing (MARK 201), and human resource management (HRMT 200), ensuring students develop a broad understanding of key business functions. Additional courses focus on management, organizational behaviour, quantitative decision-making, business computing, sustainable business practices, and research methods, equipping students with analytical, problem-solving, and leadership skills essential in today’s dynamic business environment. Students also complete open electives totaling 9 credits, which can be chosen from any discipline, fostering intellectual breadth and the opportunity to explore personal interests or complementary fields of study. Furthermore, a business elective of 3 credits allows students to tailor their learning to a specific area such as accounting, finance, marketing, management, or international business, providing specialized knowledge relevant to career goals.
