COURSE CURRICULUM

The Accounting and Strategic Measurement Diploma requires students to complete 60 credits, or 20 courses, providing a well-rounded education in accounting and business fundamentals. Core courses include Financial Accounting I and II (ACCT 101, 201), Accounting Software (ACCT 207), Managerial Information and Control Systems (ACCT 222), Income Tax Software (ACCT 228), and key intermediate courses such as Intermediate Financial Accounting I and II (ACCT 315, 316) and Intermediate Management Accounting (ACCT 324). Students also explore data-driven decision-making through Introduction to Data Analytics in Accounting (ACCT 330) and gain business insights from courses such as Introduction to Sustainable Business (BUSN 201), Introductory Finance (FNCE 201), Business Law I (LEGL 210), and Introduction to Microeconomics (ECON 101). Supporting courses in statistics and quantitative analysis (MGTS 103, MGTS 113), as well as professional communication through Advanced Business Writing (PROW 210) and First Year Writing or English (WRIT 101/ENGL 102), enhance analytical and interpersonal skills. In addition, students choose nine credits of open electives, allowing flexibility to explore other interests or deepen business expertise. This comprehensive program equips graduates with strong accounting knowledge, software proficiency, and analytical skills, preparing them for accounting roles or further studies in business and finance.
