COURSE CURRICULUM

The Office Assistant program with an Administrative major requires the completion of 45 credits through a combination of core courses and specialized administrative courses, providing a comprehensive foundation for a career in office administration. Core courses include Office Procedures, Office Technology I and II, Business Communication I, II, and III, Business Math, Bookkeeping and Accounting, and First Year Writing, as well as an Office Assistant Field Placement that offers practical, hands-on experience in a real workplace. These courses equip students with essential skills in document preparation, data management, effective communication, and office operations, ensuring they can manage information efficiently and support business functions across a variety of environments. In addition to the core curriculum, students complete required Administrative major courses, including Customer Service I and II, Human Resource Basics, Advanced Office Documents, and Office Technology III, which deepen their understanding of administrative tasks, human resource practices, and customer service excellence.
