COURSE CURRICULUM

The Bachelor of Commerce in Management Honours program requires the completion of 63 credits, designed to provide advanced knowledge and practical skills for leadership and strategic management. Core courses such as Advanced Leadership Topics and Issues, Entrepreneurship, Managing Negotiation, Managerial Skill Development, Managing Change, Business Consulting, Business Innovation and Intrapreneurship, and Contemporary Business Ethics prepare students to address complex organizational challenges, lead teams effectively, and implement innovative solutions in dynamic business environments. Students pursuing the Honours designation also complete two senior-level courses approved by their thesis supervisor, allowing them to explore specialized topics aligned with their research interests. The program emphasizes research and analytical skills through the mandatory Research Methods for Business course and culminates in the Honours Thesis in Management, where students develop, conduct, and defend an original research project under faculty supervision. Additionally, the curriculum includes 18 credits of non-business electives to broaden students’ perspectives and nine open electives to allow exploration of individual interests, fostering well-rounded critical thinking and problem-solving abilities. By combining rigorous academic training, applied research, and elective flexibility, the program equips graduates with the expertise, leadership capabilities, and strategic insight necessary for success in management roles, consulting, entrepreneurship, or advanced business studies.
