COURSE CURRICULUM

The International Business Honours program in the Bachelor of Commerce degree provides a comprehensive and rigorous curriculum designed to equip students with advanced knowledge and practical skills for the global business environment. Students complete 27 senior-level courses, including core courses such as Introduction to International Business, Regional Perspectives of International Business, Cross Border Trade Transactions, Global Strategy, and Legal Aspects of International Business, ensuring a strong foundation in international business principles. The program emphasizes global mindset and international exposure, offering options such as study tours, intercultural communication courses, international internships, or language studies to develop cross-cultural competence. Electives allow further specialization in areas such as International Finance, Global Business and Sustainability, International Entrepreneurship, International Marketing, Global Supply Chain Management, and independent studies or special topics in international business. Central to the Honours designation are the Senior Honours Seminar, Marketing Research & Analytics, and the Honours Thesis, which provide students with extensive research experience, analytical skills, and the ability to formulate, investigate, and present original business research. Additional non-business electives and open electives broaden knowledge and cultivate interdisciplinary perspectives. This program prepares students to excel in global business careers, equipping them with the analytical, strategic, and cross-cultural skills necessary to navigate complex international markets and make informed, data-driven business decisions.
