COURSE CURRICULUM

The Jewellery Design with Business Specialization Diploma program at LaSalle College Vancouver is structured over four quarters, offering a balanced mix of technical skills, creative development, and business knowledge. In Quarter 1, students begin with foundational courses such as Metalwork I, Jewellery Illustration, 3D Modelling and Fabrication I, and Jewellery History and Trends, establishing essential craftsmanship and contextual understanding. Quarter 2 advances these skills with Metalwork II, Alternative Materials for Jewellery I, 3D Modelling and Fabrication II, and Concept Development for Jewellery, encouraging experimentation and creative growth. Quarter 3 focuses on refining techniques through Metalwork III, Alternative Materials for Jewellery II, and Design Studio, while students also develop their Jewellery Portfolio to showcase their work. The final Quarter 4 prepares students for real-world applications with courses like Incubator, Creative Design and Management, Production and Fabrication for Business, and The Business of Jewellery Design. This comprehensive curriculum ensures students gain proficiency in metalworking, explore alternative materials, and develop their unique design concepts.
