COURSE CURRICULUM

The Animation Art & Design Diploma program is structured over four quarters, offering a comprehensive curriculum that builds from foundational to advanced skills in animation and design. In the first quarter, students are introduced to Basic 3D Concepts, 2D Animation I, Digital Storyboarding, and Compositing I, laying the groundwork for both technical and creative aspects of animation. The second quarter deepens this knowledge with courses such as 3D Modeling I, 3D Animation I, 2D Animation II, Vector Animation I, and 3D Animation Acting and Pantomime, where students start applying movement and performance techniques. The third quarter focuses on refining animation skills with 3D Animation Body Mechanics, 3D Animation II, Rigging, and Advanced Acting and Performance, emphasizing character movement and the technical rigging process required for animation. In the final quarter, students take Advanced Body Mechanics, participate in an Animation Studio for hands-on collaborative projects, explore 3D Effects to enhance visual storytelling, and complete the Final Diploma Capstone, a culminating project that integrates all learned skills. This progression ensures students develop both artistic creativity and technical proficiency, preparing them for careers in the film, gaming, and visual effects industries. The program’s hands-on, industry-relevant approach enables students to produce a professional portfolio showcasing their abilities in both 2D and 3D animation disciplines.
