COURSE CURRICULUM

The Bachelor of Science in Game Programming is a comprehensive 120-credit program delivered over 10 quarters, designed to equip students with both theoretical foundations and practical skills essential for a successful career in game development. The journey begins with courses such as History of Games, Introduction to Computer Programming, Applied Mathematics, and Rhetoric and Composition, laying the groundwork in both technical and communication skills. Students then advance to core subjects like Object Oriented Programming in C++ I & II, C# Programming, Geometry and Linear Algebra, and Statistics. As the program progresses, learners explore game-specific domains through courses like Introduction to Game Design, Programming for Game Engines, 2D Games Programming, and Introduction to Level Design. In mid-program quarters, emphasis shifts to more complex technical concepts, including Algorithms and Data Patterns, Calculus for Physics, Basic 3D Concepts, Game Tools and Pipelines, and 3D Graphics and Applications. Advanced topics such as 3D Graphics Programming, Real-time GPU Programming, Artificial Intelligence, Software Development and Testing, and Intro to Mobile Programming provide depth and specialization. Production experience is built into the curriculum through courses like Mini Games and Prototyping, Production Team I & II, Preproduction and Project Management, and Post-production. The program culminates with high-level training in Network Programming, Concurrency and Parallel Programming, and a Senior Portfolio to showcase students’ best work. Studio Electives allow for customization of learning paths. Throughout, learners gain hands-on experience with industry-standard tools and collaborative team practices, positioning them to enter the gaming industry as capable and competitive junior game programrs.
