COURSE CURRICULUM

The Computer Science Technology (Profile in Programming) DCS program at LaSalle College Montréal offers a comprehensive curriculum that combines technical expertise with general education to prepare students for dynamic careers in software development. The concentration courses cover key areas such as Applied Mathematics, Computer Tools, Web Development, Algorithms, Object-Oriented Programming, Operating Systems, and Networking. Students gain hands-on experience with Web Client and Server Application Development, Multi-tier Applications, Databases, Mobile Development for both Android and iOS, and emerging Trends in Technology. Courses like Scripting Language, Data Structures, Information System Analysis, and Implementation build strong foundations in system architecture and software design. Advanced topics, including Multiplatform Mobile Development and Professional Integration, further enhance students' readiness for the industry. The program culminates in a substantial 255-hour internship, providing real-world exposure and professional experience. Alongside their technical training, students complete general education courses that include three Physical Education, three Humanities, four Literature, two Second Language, and two Complementary Courses, totaling 660 hours.
