COURSE CURRICULUM

The Studio 58 Acting program at Langara College is a comprehensive three-year diploma requiring a total of 90 credits. The program is structured into six terms, each designed to progressively build students’ skills and knowledge in acting, movement, voice, and theatre skills. In the first term, students take foundational courses such as Acting I, Movement I, Voice I, Theatre Skills I, and a university-transferable English course, totaling 15 credits. The second term continues this foundation with Acting II, Movement II, Voice II, Theatre Skills II, and another English course, also totaling 15 credits. The third term deepens these skills with Acting III, Movement III, Voice III, and Theatre Skills III, again totaling 15 credits. In the fourth term, students advance further with Acting IV, Movement IV, Voice IV, and Theatre Skills IV, maintaining the 15-credit load. The final two terms focus entirely on advanced performance skills with Advanced Performance Skills I and II, each worth 15 credits. This structure ensures that by the end of the program, students have developed strong technical abilities, artistic expression, and professional readiness. Throughout the program, students engage in intensive training and practical experience, preparing them for careers in theatre, film, and television.
