COURSE CURRICULUM

The Data Analytics program requires a total of 46 or 47 credits to graduate, providing a comprehensive curriculum designed to equip students with the technical skills and knowledge needed in today’s data-driven world. Core courses include Professional Business Practice, Project Management, and Communications for Technical Professions, which build essential workplace and communication skills. Computing for Data Analytics, Transformations for Data Analytics, Visualization for Data Analytics, and Data Mining for Data Analytics offer hands-on experience with industry-standard tools and techniques for managing and interpreting data. Statistical and analytical skills are further developed through courses like Data Analysis and Statistical Inference, Predictive Analytics for both quantitative and qualitative data, and advanced topics such as Dimension Reduction and Classification I and II. A significant component of the program is the Capstone Project, a six-credit course where students apply their learning to real-world data challenges, demonstrating their ability to analyze, interpret, and present complex data findings. Additional support is provided through the Craft Your Career course, preparing students for job searching and professional growth. Mathematics for Data Analytics adds foundational mathematical skills specifically tailored to data analysis.
