COURSE CURRICULUM

In Year 1, students are introduced to core business concepts through a comprehensive selection of foundational courses. These include Accounting I and II, Organizational Behaviour, Communications I and II, Business Computer Applications, Microeconomics, Macroeconomics, Business Mathematics, Business Statistics, and Marketing Principles. Each course carries a weight of 3 credits, ensuring a balanced and thorough academic experience in the first year. Year 2 shifts focus toward specialized knowledge in real estate and property assessment. Required courses include Farmland Evaluation, Assessment Principles, Foundations of Real Estate Appraisal, Real Estate Investment Analysis & Advanced Income Appraisal, and Statistical & Computer Applications in Valuation. Students will also study Real Property Assessment Administration, Computer-Assisted Mass Appraisal, Residential & Commercial Property Analysis, Urban & Real Estate Economics, and Canadian Real Property Law & Real Estate Ethics. Each of these courses is also worth 3 credits, offering students a well-rounded foundation in the real estate and property valuation field.
