COURSE CURRICULUM

The Health Care Aide program offers a comprehensive curriculum designed to prepare students for supportive roles in a variety of healthcare settings. Students begin with foundational courses such as Health Care Aide Roles & Responsibilities, The Human Body, Health, & Chronic Illness, and Communication & Documentation in the Health-Care Environment. These are followed by more hands-on and applied learning experiences, including Providing Person-Centered Care & Comfort and Clinical Placement I. As students progress, they delve into more complex topics through courses like Meeting Complex Care Needs and Special Activities for Clients with Various Health Conditions. These are supported by further practical experience in Clinical Placement II. The program concludes with a Consolidated Clinical Placement, allowing students to integrate and apply their knowledge in real-world settings. Each course ranges from 3 to 5 credits, blending classroom instruction with practical, workplace-based training.
