COURSE CURRICULUM

The graduate courses in Mathematics offer a comprehensive and advanced curriculum designed to deepen students’ understanding across a broad range of mathematical disciplines. Core courses include Measure Theory, covering measure spaces, integrals, and theorems such as Lebesgue dominated convergence and Radon-Nikodym; Topology, which explores topological spaces, compactness, and connectedness; and Functional Analysis, focusing on normed vector spaces, bounded operators, and Hilbert spaces. Additional specialized courses include Introductory Algebraic Topology, Abstract Algebra covering groups, rings, and modules, and Banach Space Theory. Students can also engage in directed studies through Reading Courses that allow exploration of specific mathematical topics under faculty supervision. Advanced topics in statistics and probability provide a foundation for research in stochastic processes and statistical theory. Numerical Analysis courses delve into computational techniques for solving differential equations and optimization problems, complemented by courses in Partial Differential Equations and Continuous Optimization that address applied mathematical modeling and programming methods.
