COURSE CURRICULUM

The Kinesiology program spans four years, beginning with a foundational first year that includes courses such as Kinesiology 1110, 1035, 1113, and 1711, alongside Chemistry 1210 and English 1116, which also fulfills the Indigenous Content Requirement. Students also take one-half FCE in English from options including English 1015, 1016, 1115, 1117, or 1118, plus one and a half FCE electives. In the second year, the curriculum advances with Kinesiology courses 2015, 2035, 2059, 2079, and 2711, along with Biology courses 2011, 2012, and 2030, and one FCE elective. The third year offers more specialized study through Kinesiology 3010, 3030, 3070, 3134, 3230, 3610, 3710, and 3711, plus an additional FCE elective. In the fourth and final year, students complete Kinesiology 4113, 4310, and 4710, along with a required non-credit course, Kinesiology 4193. Students then choose between Kinesiology 4230 plus three electives at the second-year level or higher, or Kinesiology 4220 plus two and a half electives at the same level. This structured progression ensures a comprehensive understanding of human movement science, preparing students for careers in health, wellness, and rehabilitation fields, with opportunities to deepen knowledge through electives in related areas.
