COURSE CURRICULUM

The Mathematics program begins with a strong foundation in the first year, where students take courses such as Mathematics 1171, 1172, 1271, and 1272, along with English 1015 and a half FCE elective from Type E courses, plus two FCE electives from Type B courses. In the second year, students advance their studies by completing Mathematics 2111, 2131, 2232, 2234, 2255, and 2275, supported by one FCE elective from Type A or B courses at the second-year level or higher, and an additional FCE elective. The third year focuses on more specialized topics including Mathematics 3231, 3233, 3332, and 3334, alongside one FCE in Mathematics at the third or fourth-year level, as well as one FCE elective from Type A or B courses and one additional FCE elective. In the final year, students complete Mathematics 3171, 4151, and 4301, together with one FCE in Mathematics at the third or fourth-year level and two FCE electives to round out their program. This structure ensures that students progressively build their mathematical knowledge and skills through a balance of core mathematics courses and electives, allowing for both depth and breadth of study. The program’s design prepares students for diverse career opportunities and further studies by combining rigorous theoretical work with practical applications.
