COURSE CURRICULUM

The Business Management Diploma requires students to complete a total of 60 to 63 credits, covering a well-rounded mix of business foundation, management, and breadth education courses. Core business foundation courses include Organizational Behaviour, Business Law, Operations Management, a Business Diploma Capstone, and Introduction to Marketing, ensuring students gain essential knowledge in key business principles. Students must also select accounting courses from two groups: Group A offers Accelerated Introductory Financial Accounting, while Group B includes Introductory Financial Accounting I and II, providing flexibility based on prior experience. The program’s management courses cover practical skills with classes such as Fundamentals of Business in Canada, Emotional Intelligence for Academic and Career Development, Essentials of Management, Human Resources Management I, Developing Wise Organizational Action, and Negotiation Skills. Breadth education enhances critical thinking and communication skills through courses like Computer Business Applications, Professional Communication, Principles of Microeconomics, Introduction to University Writing, and Intercultural Engagement in Practice. Additionally, students select one mathematics course from options including Business Mathematics, Differential Calculus, and Calculus I variants, alongside one statistics course from various applied statistics and research analysis classes. To further diversify their knowledge, students must also take one elective course outside of business-related disciplines, promoting a broad academic experience. This curriculum equips graduates with comprehensive business acumen, practical management skills, and critical thinking abilities, preparing them for diverse roles in the business world or for further academic pursuits.
