COURSE CURRICULUM

The Business Administration diploma requires students to complete a minimum of 60 credits, encompassing a diverse curriculum designed to build a solid foundation in business principles and practices. Core business foundation courses include Organizational Behaviour, Business Law, Operations Management, Business Diploma Capstone, and Introduction to Marketing, each contributing 3 credits. Students select either an accelerated introductory financial accounting course or a two-course sequence in introductory financial accounting. Further specialization includes a choice between Cost and Management Accounting I or Securities Analysis. Breadth education courses ensure well-rounded knowledge with courses like Management Information Systems, Professional Communication, Principles of Microeconomics and Macroeconomics, Intermediate Microeconomics, Introduction to University Writing, and Calculus I tailored for business applications. Additional options allow students to explore subjects such as Money and Banking, Environmental Economics, Labour Economics, or International Trade. To develop critical thinking and communication skills, students select one course from literature or philosophy options. Statistical competence is built through courses like Business Statistics, Quantitative Data Analysis, or Applied Statistics. Finally, students choose two breadth electives from disciplines outside of accounting, business, entrepreneurship, human resources, or marketing, as well as one general elective, allowing flexibility to broaden academic exposure. This comprehensive curriculum, totaling between 60 to 63 credits, equips graduates with essential knowledge and skills in accounting, economics, management, and analytical techniques, preparing them for various career paths or further academic pursuits in business-related fields.
