COURSE CURRICULUM

The Bachelor of Design in Graphic Design for Marketing (GDMA) program is a comprehensive four-year degree consisting of 120 credits spread across eight semesters. It integrates foundational design principles, marketing, and communication skills to prepare students for dynamic careers in graphic design with a marketing focus. The program allows students to take general education and some non-GDMA courses before starting or during summer terms to balance their workload. In the first year, students build essential skills in typographic design, image development, graphic software, design history, and marketing fundamentals. The second year advances their expertise with courses in editorial design, advertising, print technologies, communication design, web design, video animation, and marketing communications. By the third year, students delve deeper into information design, UI/UX, interactive technologies, branding, packaging, and marketing communications design. The final year focuses on advanced branding, a capstone project, small business essentials, and electives that cover contemporary marketing and entrepreneurial topics. The curriculum emphasizes both technical and strategic design skills, including digital tools, interactive media, and professional practice, ensuring graduates are well-equipped for various roles in marketing communications, branding, advertising, and digital media.
