COURSE CURRICULUM

The General Arts Certificate Program at Keyano College requires students to complete a minimum of 30 credits, offering flexibility to design a personalized study plan based on individual interests and university transfer goals. Students begin by selecting at least 6 credits in Fine Arts and Humanities, choosing from subjects such as English, Philosophy, and Art History to develop critical thinking, cultural awareness, and analytical writing skills. A further 6 credits in Social Sciences—drawn from Sociology, Psychology, History, or Political Science—provide insights into human behaviour, social systems, and political structures, fostering an understanding of how societies function and evolve. Students must also complete a minimum of 6 credits in English, focusing on written communication, literary analysis, and academic research skills, ensuring strong foundational competencies for future studies or professional roles. The remaining 12 credits are fulfilled through elective courses, allowing students to explore additional subjects within Fine Arts, Humanities, Social Sciences, or even approved Science disciplines for broader academic exposure. This flexible, multidisciplinary structure empowers students to build a well-rounded educational experience tailored to their academic aspirations.
