COURSE CURRICULUM

The Service Excellence program at ILAC IC is divided into three academic terms followed by a co-op placement, offering students a solid foundation in customer service and professional workplace skills. In Term 1, students take Canadian Workplace Essentials, Human Resources Fundamentals, and Customer Service Skills, where they develop strong communication abilities, cultural awareness, teamwork, and an understanding of high-quality service standards in a Canadian business context. Term 2 includes Food & Beverage Service, Event Planning, and Sales Fundamentals, helping students build practical skills in hospitality, event coordination, and customer engagement while learning the essentials of sales and service excellence. In Term 3, students study Front Desk Services and Leadership, gaining experience in guest relations, problem-solving, and team management, all of which are crucial for supervisory or managerial roles in service industries. The final co-op term allows students to apply the knowledge gained in class through a paid work placement in Canada, offering hands-on experience and exposure to real-world business operations. By combining academic learning with practical training, the program prepares students to provide outstanding customer service, adapt effectively to diverse workplace environments, and pursue rewarding careers in hospitality, tourism, and other service-related fields.
