COURSE CURRICULUM

The Global Business Management graduate certificate program at Humber spans four semesters and offers a broad, in-depth education in core business disciplines while allowing students to specialize in areas of interest such as Human Resources, International Business, or Marketing. Semester 1 focuses on foundational skills with courses like Computer Analytic Skills (BISM 5000), Project Management (BUS 5003), Management Economics (ECON 5015), Human Resources Management (HRM 5003), Quantitative Methods for Management (STAT 5002), and Career Development and Pre-Placement Seminar (WORK 5005). In Semester 2, students build on this base through Managerial Accounting and Finance (ACCT 5507), Canadian Business Law (BUS 5505), Organizational Behaviour (HRM 5008), Fundamentals of Marketing (MKTG 5007), Business Research Methods (RSMT 5001), and a seminar on Innovation and Issues in a Changing Management Environment (BUS 5507). Semester 3 includes Business Strategy 1 (BUS 5024) and an Industry Seminar (WORK 5570), along with four elective courses chosen from a focus area in Human Resources, International Business, or Marketing. In the final semester, students take Business Leadership Skills (BUS 5021), Business Strategy 2 (BUS 5571), and participate in a Field Experience (WORK 5511), plus four additional specialization courses. This structure ensures both breadth and depth, preparing students for leadership roles in diverse global business settings.
