COURSE CURRICULUM

The Cloud Computing Ontario Graduate Certificate program spans two semesters and offers students a well-rounded, practical education in cloud technologies, with courses available both in-person and online (evening delivery for domestic students). In Semester 1, students begin with CCGC 5000: Operating Systems, which builds foundational knowledge in managing system environments, followed by CCGC 5001: Virtualization, which explores creating and managing virtual machines and infrastructure. CCGC 5003: Application Programming introduces programming concepts essential for cloud-based applications, while CCGC 5004: Databases focuses on data storage, retrieval, and management within cloud systems. CCGC 5005: Project Management teaches key methodologies and tools for managing IT and cloud projects, and CCGC 5006: Career Development in Cloud Computing supports students in building professional skills and career readiness. CCGC 5500: Cloud Solution Architecture wraps up the first semester by introducing students to the design and planning of scalable, secure, and resilient cloud environments. In Semester 2, students advance with CCGC 5501: Cloud Security, where they explore the policies, technologies, and strategies for securing cloud environments. CCGC 5502: Automation teaches how to streamline infrastructure and application management using automation tools. CCGC 5504: DevOps for Cloud Computing focuses on the integration of development and operations through continuous integration and delivery practices. Finally, students apply their cumulative learning in CCGC 5505: Cloud Computing Capstone Project, tackling real-world challenges to design and implement end-to-end cloud solutions. This curriculum prepares graduates to take on high-demand roles in cloud architecture, security, and systems administration across a range of industries.
