The Tourism – Travel Services Management diploma program at Humber spans four semesters, offering a comprehensive curriculum that blends business essentials with specialized tourism knowledge. In the first semester, students build foundational skills through courses like PC Business Essentials, Global Tourism Geography, and Tourism Retail Operations, while strengthening academic abilities with college reading and writing. The second semester deepens industry understanding with courses in financial accounting, service excellence, the tour industry, and global tourism destinations, complemented by workplace writing skills and a general elective. Semester three focuses on advanced business and leadership concepts, including business finance, effective leadership, tourism marketing, technology in tourism distribution, regenerative tourism, and niche sectors like cruise and tour guiding, alongside a general elective. The final semester prepares students for the professional world with courses on meetings and corporate events, tourism sales, entrepreneurship, niche and customized travel, and corporate travel, culminating in a valuable field experience placement that allows practical application of acquired knowledge.
