COURSE CURRICULUM

Humber’s Fashion Arts and Business diploma program spans four semesters, combining business fundamentals with specialized fashion industry skills. In Semester 1, students build a strong foundation with courses like PC Business Essentials, History of Fashion and Cosmetics, Introduction to Marketing, Apparel and Accessory Product Knowledge, Ethics and Sustainability, and College Reading and Writing Skills. Semester 2 advances this knowledge with Fashion Technology, Creative Suite Applications, Social Media and Fashion Promotion, Trend Analysis and Product Development, alongside general arts and science electives and Workplace Writing Skills. Semester 3 focuses on practical skills and industry experience through Event Planning and Budgeting, Advanced Creative Suite Applications, Field Experience, Wholesale Sales, and Store Planning and Merchandising, plus an option for general electives. The final semester emphasizes retail and global operations, including Retail Buying, New Venture Development, Global Retail Operations, and Photo Styling and Display Techniques. Students also engage in hands-on learning through experiential learning in event production or a second field experience course, complemented by general elective courses. This comprehensive curriculum equips students with the knowledge and practical skills necessary to thrive in the fast-paced, global fashion industry.
