COURSE CURRICULUM

The Esthetician/Spa Management program at Humber offers a comprehensive four-semester curriculum designed to develop both practical esthetic skills and essential business knowledge. In the first semester, students build foundational skills through courses like Introduction to Spa Management and Client Service, Professional Skin Care, Physiology of the Skin, and Skin Care Techniques, alongside general arts and writing courses. The second semester expands technical abilities with Nail Care Technologies, Personal Care Applications, and advanced Skin Care Techniques, while also introducing business essentials such as PC Business Essentials and Workplace Writing Skills. Semester three emphasizes spa marketing, social media, business operations, and experiential learning through hands-on practice in The Humber Spa, alongside introductory medical spa treatments. The final semester further advances cosmetic applications, human resource management, small business management, and medical spa therapies, with continued experiential learning in The Humber Spa to reinforce practical and managerial skills. Throughout the program, students are equipped with the expertise needed to excel in spa management, including client service, treatment delivery, marketing, operations, and business administration, ensuring a well-rounded education that prepares graduates for successful careers in the esthetic and spa industry.
