COURSE CURRICULUM

Humber’s Business Management diploma program spans four semesters, offering a comprehensive curriculum that combines foundational knowledge with practical skills. In Semester 1, students build essential business competencies through courses like PC Business Essentials (BISM 100), Introduction to Business (BMGT 100), Mathematics of Finance (BMTH 120), Marketing Fundamentals (MKTG 111), and College Reading and Writing Skills (WRIT 100), alongside a general arts and sciences course (GNED 101). Semester 2 deepens understanding with Financial Accounting 1 (BACC 152), Microeconomics (Business) (BECN 150), Business Law (BLAW 150), Principles of Management (BMGT 152), Consumer Behaviour (MKTG 150), and Workplace Writing Skills (WRIT 200). Semester 3 focuses on applied business functions including Business Finance (BFIN 250), Business Computer Applications (BISM 200), Operations Management (BMGT 203), Human Resources Administration (BMGT 205), and Professional Selling (MKTG 204), plus a general elective. In the final semester, students engage with advanced topics like e-Commerce (BISM 202), Leadership (BMGT 253), Entrepreneurship (BMGT 255), and Managing Strategically (BMGT 265), complemented by a Field Experience placement (BUSN 250) that provides real-world business exposure. An additional general elective allows for further academic exploration.
