COURSE CURRICULUM

The Advertising & Graphic Design diploma program spans four semesters, providing students with a blend of strategic, technical, and creative skills essential for careers in advertising and visual communication. In Semester 1, students build foundational knowledge through courses such as Introduction to Advertising, Innovative Design, Web Design, Digital Imaging, Communication Skills, and College Reading and Writing Skills, along with a general education elective. Semester 2 deepens design capabilities with courses in Design, Drawing, Digital Technology, Studio Methods, Typography 1, and Strategic Thinking, while also developing workplace communication skills through Workplace Writing Skills. Students continue to broaden their academic scope with another general elective. In Semester 3, the focus shifts to advanced industry-related learning, including Art Direction and AI, Creative Advertising 1, Media Technology 1, Introduction to Copywriting, Marketing Strategies, Typography 2, and Professional Practice. These courses are complemented by a general education elective to enhance critical thinking. In the final semester, students gain real-world experience through Field Experience - Advertising Graphic Design, and prepare to enter the industry with Portfolio Development, Campaign Development, Media Technology 2, and Entrepreneurship. This comprehensive program structure ensures graduates are well-prepared for careers in advertising art direction, branding, graphic design, and other creative fields.
