COURSE CURRICULUM

The Bachelor of Engineering – Information Systems Engineering program offers a comprehensive, multi-disciplinary curriculum beginning with a foundational first-year common platform. In Semesters 1 and 2, students gain core knowledge in calculus, linear algebra, physics, technical communication, engineering design, programming, and materials science. From Semester 3 onward, the curriculum branches into specialized courses tailored to information systems engineering, including discrete mathematics, operating systems, object-oriented programming, digital systems, and project management. In Semester 4, students delve into data structures, embedded systems, communication engineering, databases, and earth science. The program further intensifies in Semesters 5 and 6 with advanced subjects such as AI, computer architecture, virtual platform technologies, wireless systems, mobile applications, and software engineering. Students then select a specialization in either the Internet of Things (IoT) or Data Network and Security, choosing specific technical electives in each term to deepen expertise. Real-world experience is integrated through three co-operative education work terms after Semester 6, allowing students to apply their learning in industry settings. In Semesters 7 and 8, students complete a two-part capstone project, study emerging technologies, and explore advanced topics like critical infrastructures and quantum physics. Final specialization courses and electives like autonomous vehicles, microgrid applications, or environmental assessment round out the degree, preparing graduates to innovate and lead in digital technology fields.
