The Professional Golf Management advanced diploma program offers a comprehensive curriculum designed to equip students with both business acumen and golf industry expertise. In the first semester, foundational courses such as Introduction to Business, Mathematics of Finance, Marketing Fundamentals, and Careers in Professional Golf Management establish a solid base. As the program progresses, students engage in specialized courses including Management Accounting in Golf Operations, Golf Operations, and Fundamentals of Golf, alongside practical field experiences that provide hands-on learning in real-world golf management settings. Topics like Turf Management, Golf Course Design, Organizational Management, and Retail Management deepen students’ understanding of golf course operations and management. The program also covers essential business subjects such as Microeconomics, Macroeconomics, Business Statistics, Canadian Business Law, and Human Resource Management, ensuring graduates have a well-rounded skill set. Advanced courses in Finance, Strategic Marketing Planning, New Enterprise Management, and Tournament Operations prepare students to handle complex challenges within golf operations and event planning. Throughout the program, students benefit from applied learning in business strategy, professional selling, training and development, and sport psychology.
