COURSE CURRICULUM

The Game Programming advanced diploma program is structured over six semesters, providing a comprehensive and practical education in game development and programming. In the first semester, students build a strong foundation with courses like Game Concepts, Game Programming, Game Physics 1, Game Mathematics 1, and technical reading and writing skills. The second semester advances this knowledge with Game Mathematics 2, Computer Graphics, Game Physics 2, Game Engines 1, and Game Production 1, along with workplace writing skills to enhance professional communication. The third semester focuses on deeper technical skills and creativity through Game Engines 2, 3D Modeling and Animation, Online Presence, a Midstone Project to showcase progress, and Data Structures and Design Patterns, plus a general elective. Semester four intensifies game engine expertise with courses like Game Engines 3 and 4, Object-Oriented Analysis and Design, Game Design, and Game Production 2, alongside an elective for broader learning. In the fifth semester, students tackle advanced topics including Game Physics 3, Artificial Intelligence, GPU Programming, Game Engines 5, and Professional Practice, supplemented by Computer Networking and an elective. The final semester culminates in a Capstone Project, where students demonstrate their cumulative skills by developing a complete game, paired with a Field Experience that provides practical, hands-on industry exposure. Throughout the program, students blend theory and practice, gaining the technical expertise and teamwork skills necessary to excel in the competitive game programming industry.
