COURSE CURRICULUM

The Electromechanical Engineering Technology advanced diploma program is structured over six semesters, providing a comprehensive blend of theoretical knowledge and practical skills. In the first semester, students focus on foundational courses such as Engineering Graphics, Introduction to Control Circuits, Engineering Materials, Workshop Practices, Technical Mathematics, and Technical Reading and Writing Skills. The second semester builds on this foundation with Robotics 1, Mechatronics 1, Industrial Pneumatics, Statics, and a first-year Mechatronics Project, along with technical workplace writing. In the third semester, students study Industrial Hydraulics, Robotics 2, Mechatronics 2, and Programming, complemented by Introduction to Calculus and a general elective. The fourth semester advances with Mechatronics 3, PLC Applications 1, C++ Programming for Automation, a second-year Mechatronics Project, and Applied Dynamics, alongside an elective. The fifth semester emphasizes practical applications with PLC Applications 2, an Industrial Automation Project, Industrial Data Communications, Robotics Cell Integration Technology, Industrial Networking, Mechanical Power Devices and Mechanisms, and Applied Calculus. In the final semester, students complete the program with Industrial Automation Project 2, Automation System Maintenance, Motion Control, Human Machine Interface, and Advanced Robotics. This curriculum is designed to equip students with industry-relevant skills in automation, robotics, programming, and control systems, preparing them for diverse careers in the electromechanical engineering field.
