COURSE CURRICULUM

Humber’s Business Administration – Accounting advanced diploma program is structured over six semesters, providing students with an in-depth education in accounting and business. In the first semester, students build a foundation with courses such as Introduction to Accounting, Business Law, Mathematics of Finance, and Information Systems Applications, alongside essential communication skills through writing and general education courses. Semester two expands on this with Computerized Accounting, Cost Accounting, and Human Resources Administration. The third semester dives deeper into accounting with Income Tax, Intermediate Financial Accounting (Part A), and Business Statistics, supported by Microeconomics. In semester four, students continue to advance their knowledge with more Intermediate Financial Accounting (Parts B and C), Computerized Accounting 2, Financial Controllership 1, and Macroeconomics. Semester five focuses on specialized areas including Income Tax 2, Auditing 1, Advanced Financial Accounting, Business Systems, Quantitative Methods, and Marketing Fundamentals. The final semester sharpens professional readiness with courses in Auditing 2, Financial Controllership 2, Business Strategies, and Data Analytics for Decision Making, culminating in a real-world Field Experience. This progression ensures students graduate with strong technical expertise, business insight, and practical experience, positioning them well for careers in accounting or for pursuing professional accounting designations.
