COURSE CURRICULUM

Humber’s Animation 3D Advanced Diploma program spans six semesters and offers a comprehensive curriculum designed to develop students' artistic and technical abilities for careers in 3D animation. In Semester 1, students build foundational skills in animation art, life drawing, 2D and 3D art, and production design, supported by general and communication studies. Semester 2 advances these skills, adding film art to broaden visual storytelling capabilities. Semester 3 deepens animation proficiency through post-production and acting for animation, along with continued life drawing and production art, allowing students to start specializing. In Semester 4, students focus on the development of animated short films, advanced 3D art, and post-production work, building toward a final creative project. Semester 5 prepares students for industry engagement through career development, capstone planning, animation history, and continued refinement of drawing and animation techniques. In the final semester, students complete their capstone project and professional portfolio, showcasing their cumulative work and creative voice. Across all semesters, emphasis is placed on studio production workflows, artistic collaboration, and building a portfolio that aligns with industry standards in film, television, gaming, and visual effects. The program equips students with the practical experience and technical knowledge required to launch successful careers in the 3D animation industry.
