COURSE CURRICULUM

The Medical Esthetics program is structured over two semesters, offering a comprehensive combination of theoretical courses, practical skills, and clinical placements designed to prepare students for a career in the medical esthetics field. In Semester 1, students begin with foundational courses such as Medical Skin Care Science and Medical Skin Care Techniques, focusing on the scientific principles behind skin care and the hands-on application of treatment methods. The program also includes Medical Skin Care Applications, which provides an in-depth practical experience, and The Medical Esthetic Practice and the Cosmetic Patient course, introducing professional standards and client care protocols. This semester culminates with a Medical Skin Care Clinic placement, allowing students to apply their learning in a supervised clinical setting, totaling 280 hours. Semester 2 advances students’ knowledge with specialized courses like Oncology Esthetics and Medical Intervention and Plastic Surgery Procedures, addressing specific client needs and complex treatment techniques. Additional courses such as Advanced Medical Skin Care Techniques and Advanced Medical Skin Care Applications build on previous skills to handle more intricate procedures. The semester also features an Advanced Medical Esthetics Clinic placement, where students gain further hands-on experience in clinical practice. This second semester totals 294 hours, bringing the full program to 574 hours. The combination of classroom learning, lab practice, and clinical experience ensures that graduates are equipped with the knowledge, technical skills, and professional judgment necessary to work confidently and safely in various medical esthetics settings. Students also learn to collaborate effectively with healthcare professionals while adhering to current regulations and industry best practices.
