COURSE CURRICULUM

The Massage Therapy program is structured over six semesters, combining comprehensive theoretical coursework with extensive clinical practice to prepare students for professional practice. In Semester 1, students focus on foundational subjects including anatomy and physiology, professionalism, clinical anatomy, massage theory and treatment techniques, alongside communications courses, totaling 294 hours. Semester 2 builds on these with advanced anatomy and physiology, further professionalism, treatment techniques, and culture and communication studies, also totaling 294 hours. Semester 3 introduces pathology, neuroanatomy, clinical assessment, therapeutic exercise, and an initial clinical practicum, with 308 hours of instruction and practice. In Semester 4, students deepen their knowledge of pathology, clinical assessment, and massage techniques, alongside general education, and engage in multiple clinical and outreach practicums totaling 350 hours. Semester 5 emphasizes advanced pathology, professionalism, treatment techniques, general education, and extensive clinical placements, accumulating 308 hours. The final Semester 6 includes business principles specific to massage therapy, continued practice consolidation, general education, and multiple clinical and outreach practicums, summing up to 280 hours. Across the program, students progressively develop skills through hands-on clinical experiences and academic learning, totaling 1,834 hours, equipping graduates with the knowledge, professionalism, and practical expertise required to succeed as registered massage therapists.
