COURSE CURRICULUM

The Golf Industry Management program follows a structured four-semester plan complemented by a co-op work term, equipping students with the practical and theoretical knowledge needed for success in the golf industry. In Semester 1, students are introduced to the golf industry through courses like Golf Skills Development I, Golf Industry Networking, and Introduction to the Golf Industry, along with foundational courses in communication, technology, and general education. Semester 2 builds on this foundation with courses in Accounting Fundamentals, Golf Operations Management, Customer Service, and Marketing, helping students understand core business practices. Semester 3 deepens industry-specific learning with Golf Skills Development II, Leadership in the Golf Industry, Sales Management, and Golf Course Food and Beverage Management, while exploring key issues and trends shaping the sport. In Semester 4, students study Agronomy and Golf Course Design, Financial Management, Golf Club Governance, Event Management, and essential management and HR practices, preparing them for leadership roles. The program includes a 560-hour co-op work term, offering hands-on experience and valuable industry exposure. With a total of 1,610 hours, including both coursework and co-op, this program delivers a well-rounded education that prepares graduates for a wide range of careers within the dynamic and evolving golf industry.
