COURSE CURRICULUM

The program is structured over four semesters, providing a comprehensive business education designed to develop skills in managing people and processes. In the first semester, students build foundational knowledge with courses such as Financial Accounting Principles, Introduction to Organizational Behaviour, Microcomputer Applications, Mathematics of Finance, and Introduction to Marketing, alongside a communications course, totaling 252 hours. The second semester continues with courses including Customer Service, Microeconomics, Human Resources Management Foundations, and Professional Edge, complemented by a communications course and a general education course, again totaling 252 hours. In the third semester, students deepen their understanding with Finance and Management Accounting, Macroeconomics, Principles of Management, Introduction to Project Management, Statistics 1, and a general education course, summing to another 252 hours. The final semester focuses on advanced topics such as Entrepreneurship and Small Business, Business Finance, Business Law, Production and Operations Management, a general education course, and a program option course selected in consultation with the program coordinator, also totaling 252 hours. Across these semesters, students gain a well-rounded education with a total of 1008 hours, preparing them for entry-level business roles or further academic pursuits. The curriculum combines theoretical knowledge with practical skills in accounting, economics, marketing, human resources, project management, and entrepreneurship, offering multiple pathways for career growth or continued studies in degree and post-graduate diploma programs. This structured plan ensures that graduates are equipped to manage organizational processes and lead teams effectively in a variety of business environments.
