COURSE CURRICULUM

The Plumbing Techniques program is structured as a full-time, two-semester course sequence totaling 504 hours, designed to equip students with both theoretical knowledge and practical skills essential for a career in plumbing. In Semester 1, students complete 252 hours covering foundational courses such as Environmental Health and Safety specific to plumbing, Mathematics Techniques, Plumbing Theory and Practical, Plumbing Codes and Standards, along with a communications course to enhance workplace communication skills. This semester focuses on introducing students to essential plumbing concepts, safety protocols, and hands-on practice to develop basic trade skills. Semester 2 also consists of 252 hours, offering more advanced training with courses in Plumbing Drafting and Blueprint Reading, continued Plumbing Theory and Practical, and Plumbing Codes and Standards to deepen technical knowledge. Additionally, students learn Welding and Pipe Cutting Processes, which are critical skills for the trade. A general education course is included to provide a broader learning experience. This program provides a strong foundation for entry-level employment in plumbing or related fields, and serves as a stepping stone for further education or apprenticeships in skilled trades.
