COURSE CURRICULUM

The program tracking for the full-time Fall intake is structured to support students in their academic and personal growth over two semesters, totaling 504 hours. In Semester 1, students engage in foundational courses such as Microcomputer Applications (42 hours) and Ojibwe Language and Culture 1 (42 hours), which foster both technical skills and cultural understanding. The curriculum also includes Personal Growth and Development (42 hours) and Indigenous Heritage, Tradition and Culture (42 hours), helping students explore their identity and traditions deeply. Alongside these, students select one Communications course and one General Education course (42 hours each), ensuring a well-rounded educational experience. The total for Semester 1 is 252 hours. In Semester 2, students continue to build on their cultural and academic knowledge with Ojibwe Language and Culture 2 (42 hours) and courses like Indigenous Community and Family Life, Introduction to Psychology from an Indigenous Perspective, and Holistic Health and Healing (each 42 hours). Communication skills are further developed through Work Environment Communication (COMM 2017, 42 hours), complemented by another General Education course (42 hours). This semester also totals 252 hours. Together, these semesters provide a comprehensive, culturally rich, and academically supportive program designed to empower students through Indigenous teachings and practical skills.
