COURSE CURRICULUM

This eight-semester program is structured to provide students with a robust foundation in business principles while specializing in the automotive industry. It combines core business subjects such as marketing, accounting, economics, finance, human resources, and operations management with automotive-focused courses like dealership management, aftermarket studies, and automotive sales. The curriculum begins with foundational courses in management, marketing, and automotive industry concepts, progressing into more advanced topics such as corporate finance, entrepreneurship, and strategy. Students are introduced to dealership systems, parts and service management, statistical analysis, and automotive marketing management. In addition to the core curriculum, the program includes a selection of elective courses in areas such as leadership, innovation, international business, and emerging dealership technologies, allowing students to tailor their education to specific interests. Experiential learning is a major focus, with students participating in three co-operative education work terms after semesters 2, 3, and 6, each lasting 560 hours, enabling them to gain practical industry experience and apply their classroom learning in real-world settings. The program also features two practicum placements and culminates in a final capstone course focused on automotive strategy. A variety of elective non-core courses in areas like sociology, psychology, humanities, and interdisciplinary studies further broaden students’ perspectives and communication skills. The total in-class instructional time spans 1,764 hours, complemented by 1,680 hours of co-op work experience, ensuring graduates are well-prepared for leadership roles in the dynamic automotive business landscape.
