COURSE CURRICULUM

This comprehensive four-semester hybrid program equips students with the leadership, operational, and strategic skills needed to thrive in Canada’s evolving healthcare sector. In Semester 1, students build foundational knowledge in Canadian healthcare systems, Indigenous studies, law and ethics, leadership, communication, and sustainability. Semester 2 deepens this understanding through courses in financial management, policy, health equity, health informatics, project management, and leadership operations. Semester 3 emphasizes advanced competencies such as data analytics, decision-making, human resources, innovation, grant writing, and managing change, while incorporating Truth and Reconciliation principles in healthcare. The final semester is centered on a robust Capstone Project, which allows students to apply their knowledge in a real-world healthcare setting. This work-integrated learning experience is supported by preparation and reflection courses designed to enhance project execution and employability. Throughout the program, learners gain skills in communication, governance, health equity, informatics, and operational management, all within the context of Canadian and Indigenous healthcare frameworks. Graduates emerge as well-rounded leaders capable of navigating complex health systems, driving innovation, and leading interprofessional teams. The program’s flexible delivery model, combining online learning with in-person intensives, makes it accessible to working professionals while maintaining the rigour necessary for career advancement in healthcare administration.
